At the time I was simply making my vessels more and more organic, diverging from traditional forms. This piece also drew from materials on hand as the branches were from my backyard. I had used twisted paper in the past, but this was one of the first times I made it myself, using paper I had made from weaving scraps (mostly seagrass clippings from previous works).
